The best thing I have learned was to put myself first. It may seem selfish at first but in the end, all you have is you.

Phew, hey y'all it has most definitely been a minute but Happy New Years its 2024! Life update: I graduated from College, Started my masters program, got accepted into a CDC fellowship I applied for back in November and much much more. Life has most definitely flown by me and I needed time for me to evaluate what I wanted to do, who I wanted around m, you know? all that good stuff.

Between the time of my graduation up until now there has been so much that I have learned from just being within the environment and observing and I'm not just talking about academically. I'm talking about emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually if I must say and what I have learned honestly has molded me into who I am now and the reason I act the way I do.

For everyone who personally knows me, you know I have a big heart and anyone with a big heart knows how that goes. People tend to try to run you over, use you, keep you around for their own good blah blah blah all that good stuff but I learned that no matter what someone does towards me my heart is still going to continue to be big (Crazy work right?)
No, I do not get my “lick back”, no I don’t act like they don’t exist, no I don’t “ stand on business” . I simply just let it be to protect my own peace because in the end, if you're getting out of character is it worth it? Do you really want someone to have that much power over your emotions that you act up in such a way? The answer is a STRONG NO. learn to let it hurt you and let it go in all seriousness.

Let me emphasize something, sweetie it is never that deep, it never was and it will never be!
Is the situation life or death? Is it going to matter 3 months down the line? Is it going to stop you from being on your grind and locking in? If the answers are no, baby, get yourself up, hit the gym, take yourself on a date, buy yourself some flowers ( or men buy yourself some jewelry or cologne or whatever yall do) and make yourself feel good!
In the end yall, you have to go into every situation with a you vs you mindset. Pray about it, Get out your feelings and lock in with yourself! Love yall muahhhhh
Sidenote: Yall know this wouldn't be a seasonal shiftings episode without a bible verse. Matthew 5:9 says “ God blesses those who work for peace; for they will be called the children of God”
